A Salute to African Americans

29 February, 2008 (19:50) | around the region, events, kids, people, politics, video

For Black History Month, I wanted to showcase some of the black people who I have had the opportunity to meet and photograph. From the victims of Hurricane Katrina to civil rights leaders and protesters to a young couple on their wedding day and to kids who represent our future, I thought these photos and the music by Tonex fit well together. Enjoy.

Aaron, this is really beautiful and inspiring. And you’re right, the music was perfect, just to make sure we keep our heads up. Thanks!
